About Us
Jean Cameron - By Arrangement

Jean's goal has always been to create beauty. Even as a child,
she would rearrange her room until it had the "look" she desired.
For 28 years she was a technical librarian with Ratheon Company. Her love of
interior design was kept alive by working evenings and weekends for clients
in the Boston area, and constantly taking courses that intensified that passion.
Finally, she was able to devote herself full time to developing
her business, and By Arrangement was born. After yet another course, she decided
to pinpoint her affinity for Redesign: creating new and exciting rooms using
the furniture and treasures already owned by the homeowner.
In 2001, she moved to Sequim and brought with her all her years
of experience in business. She is expert in color selection, faux painting,
and the graceful art of placement to achieve comfortable, relaxed and livable
homes.
Jean has been certified by the Society
of Decorating Professionals (SDP) and is also a member of the Sequim
Chamber of Commerce.
Redesign is a service that everyone can benefit from, no matter
how opulent or modest their home. It is a joy to be able to help people discover
the untapped potential of their own belongings, and always a thrill to see
their own personality emerge from a dramatic make-over.
Redesign is all about how you live every day. Those appealing
qualities of a comforting home inspire me to redesign rooms that are cozy,
comfortable, and very functional.
It is great fun making the most of what people already own by
redesigning their rooms. Very rarely do people need to buy lots of new things.
BY ARRANGEMENT WITH JEAN offers magical transformations, using the client's
existing furnishings and accessories. Redesign is a natural extension of traditional
interior design, and instead of buying new furnishing, BY ARRANGEMENT WITH
JEAN shops the client's home, taking the things already owned and moving them
into the new room, adding the designer touch by showcasing those items near
and dear.
In 3-4 hours return to a transformed space with a new feel without
spending money on new furniture, by showcasing items that you already own and
make your home more you — a statement of who you are!
The process starts with an initial consultation, when the owner
and the designer determine the activities that take place in the home, and
how the room(s) are used. After spending some time talking, asking questions
and measuring, the designer heads back to her office to work on ideas for change.
At the appointed time, the designer returns to work her magic!
The room is cleared. First, the big pieces are placed. The redesigner aims
to create a space that highlights valued possessions, develop a focal point
in the room and provide ample traffic flow, all the while enhancing the placement
of the furniture.
Many potential clients have watched home decorating shows and
have attempted to pull their rooms together by themselves. They're looking
for a change, a fresher approach to their home and need guidance in reflecting
their style. A redesign allows you to see your home in a whole new way.
